UX for Improving Lead Development
Improving your websites user experience is a relatively time consuming and sometimes expensive process, but it can lead to vast improvements in many areas of your website that have previously never worked for you before, these can include; overall traffic, return traffic, lead development and the potential to convert your websites visitors into customers.

With Google being the main search engine; following their guidelines is something which all ‘SEO experts’ have had to swallow in the last few years. With Panda, Hummingbird, the feared Mobile Responsive update and the biggest hitter, Penguin, changing the face of the search engines and how they are manipulated, Google is now pushing webmasters towards actually offering value to their visitors for the relative search.
But why UX (user experience) for SEO?
Well, the experience a user gets from your website is going to be the swaying factor in getting visitors into your website and keeping them there, or at the very least, stopping them bouncing straight off. Your bounce rate, the percentage of visitors who enter your website then ‘bounce’ straight back out compared to the ones who view more than one page, is something which Google has been introducing to their algorithm for a while now, so creating good user experiences is vital for future-proofing your SEO.

So you’ve nailed your SEO, you’re in the top three of the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) for a relatively competitive local keyword and you’re getting the lion’s share of the traffic, but a month into those fabulous top rankings and you’ve got no more leads, enquiries or sales than you were getting in the first place. Why is this happening, and what can you do to change this?
User experience has many variables and can include anything from the content on your web pages to the loading speed of your website. Many things impact user experience, making sure they’re all tied up together and done properly is what turns a good site into a great site. Until your website is a well-oiled lead generation machine, you can still improve on your UX.
Why Content Dominates
The popular quote: “It’s not what you say, it’s the way that you say it” applies greatly to the content of a webpage, if it’s stiff, boring and robotic, the chances are whoever is reading it is going to either bounce straight off or skim-read, both of which are useless for your visitor retention. You want people to engage with your content and get the perception that you’re the company they want to buy from.
